Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

Why wait for layoffs?

I’ve started my job hunt as I don’t want to wait for this whole thing to fall like a house of cards, and it will. I would advise the same to others? Even if the company survives in some shape, it’s going to be a weak company in which shifts and layoffs are common. Better to hit the market before a flood of WIN workers arrive to it.

Costco Amazon and Disney are raising their minimum pay to 30 an hour. Walmart might be forced to do same to compete (maybe). Win is paying peanuts for skilled workers. Beginnings are often hiding in endings. Have to move on to other work might be the best thing that happens for you

"Your version of "leave now" isn't any more important than the last 50"

But mine is!

Another "get out now thread" because the other 200 didn't cover it? Everyone knows. My resume is out there too. We don't need endless threads saying the same c-ap over and over. Your version of "leave now" isn't any more important than the last 50.

I agree with they didn't do us any favors. Frozen salaries for 3 years, horrible benefits. They act like it's a privilege to work there. Why give them all I've got like I used to when they keep piling more work.

I owe them nothing. They aren't loyal to us, why should we be loyal to them

Best to find find a ship that's going places than to stay aboard a sinking ship.

Staying until the doors close isn't a good idea. They didn't do us any favors, even in better times. So look for a new job and get out as soon as possible.
