Legacy telecommuting done

We were informed today we will be expected to come into a “hub location” starting in September/October. No details beyond that. We’ve always been a telecommute group. None of us live near the same hub, or work with just clients near us. It makes no... — read more

WF Hiring Demographics

Got my hands on a .PPT circulating around regarding the hiring metrics with a large focus on g-y and female hiring push. I manage a team of all women and 50% minority. Everyone on the team makes the same money if they are at the same level (~5% +/-)... — read more

CFO needs public speaking skills....Ya Know!

Instead of returning capital to the shareholders, maybe they should use some of it to invest in a new CFO who knows how to speak. When he speaks in public, he comes off as un-educated. In over his head....Umm Ya Know!

Cuts will intensify

Now that everybody is lauding Scharf for "finally making headway on cost-cutting goals" I'm sure we can expect to see him push up his timetable and become even more aggressive in regards to layoffs and other cost cuts (but let's be realistic, it's... — read more

Staff cuts while working remote, but now overworked

I understand that the bottom line gets helped with staff reduction. But they cut some staff when I was already working a full shift, even at home. I am definitely working more hours now to stay afloat with the duties. Sure, I get a faint "That a boy"... — read more

Mike Hayes Event

Mike is a great guy and leader not to mention inspirational. I wish his upbeat comments about Wells were true. I guess we take the lesson without worrying too much about minor inaccuracies about corporate culture. Can we make him CEO? I think... — read more

Asset cap not going anywhere.

Scharf “isn’t even considering business without the asset cap”. Expect at least through end of 2022 I’m sure. https://www.reuters.com/business/finance/wells-fargo-beats-profit-estimates-reserve-release-boost-2021-07-14/

Glad to see positive earnings although it's funny how in what CS communicated to the rank and file he doesn't mention the 8% reduction in expenses.

They lay off a lot but never management?

I am talking about any tier, even the lowest management positions. We had our share of layoffs in the past couple of years, but I never saw any member of the management get cut. They just keep bloating the management while there are fewer and fewer... — read more

This is so disheartening

Had an interview that went well but

They asked me what I was looking for salary wise. I gave them a broad range that was in between what I made at Wells which wasn't much. No dice. These companies are beyond cheap, but it was a smaller bank which is why I said smaller banks don't pay... — read more

D-mb People Hire D-mb People

That is why we have so many d-mb d-mbs at Wells Fargo....that is absolutely without a shadow of a doubt including engineers.

Exit Interviews

I know multiple people who have been displaced recently. Not one was asked to participate in any form of an exit interview. This speaks volumes of our poor HR team and three blind mice Operating Committee approach. What an embarrassment.

Steve Troutner leaving WF

Yet Chainsaw, Fredo, the new OC flu lies and so many other overpaid inept “leaders” remain. He was one of the good ones. https://www.businessinsider.com/wells-fargo-head-of-small-business-banking-steve-troutner-exit-2021-7
