SO WHAT this bank keeps cutting benefits and increasing demands on its workers. We are no longer team members. We are just staff and can be fired at any time they see fit and without any warning.

SO WHAT India staff gets treated with kid gloves and tons of praise, massive benefits, free training and opportunities for career advancement, when American staff who helped keep the wheels on this titanic are shunned and told to train their replacements overseas, then later shown the door and told not to let the door hit them on the a$$ on way out.

SO WHAT Charlie Scharf demands you to go to the office where an ACTIVE PANDEMIC which is CONSTANTLY MUTATING just so you can help this stupid company justify its malinvestment of commercial property holdings.

SO WHAT you might bring this disease home to your family, where your insurance will likely not cover 100% of the cost of care if you or your family gets severely ill...and heaven forbid you or someone in your family dies. Sharf isn't coughing up money for your pay raise or benefits, he certainly is not gonna help pay you to push up daisies.

SO WHAT This insistent push for "back to office" where you likely will not sit near any of your peers and most of the people you now work with are sleeping in India at the very time you need support.

SO WHAT quality has degraded in just about every support function at the bank. Wells Fargo now makes up for quality in quantity. SO WHAT that this makes as much sense as mittens on a banana.

SO WHAT none of you will organize to protect your job, because, you know, unions are bad or some sht. And besides, its not YOUR job that got sent overseas, just some other person.

SO WHAT that a corporations only purpose is to profit. Nothing else matters. If Scharf could double profits by selling your children and not getting into legal trouble, you can bet he would do it and THEN demand you produce more for him sell.

SO WHAT you are the egg that needs to be cracked. YOU are an expense that needs to be eliminated, like replacing a worn out bicycle. Requesting human dignity, kindness and respect are not in the corporate handbook. When presented with a cheaper alternative, even if its subpar quality, only price matters to a corporation - especially one run by a sociopath like this one is.

Your very first point, OP, needs to be lightened up a bit please take note.
That many people did not die OF covid. They would have died of something else WITH covid. The OF and the WITH are key. So a heart attack patient that also had covid (the WITH) was documented as displaying covid symptoms. Hospitals caught on quickly that they were more easily reimbursed if they stated anywhere on the death cert that the patient that passed on displaying the covid symptoms. Talk to people in the health care field, you'll find out.

War casualties isn't a good comparison to COVID deaths since casualties == disabled + dead. You would need to add in everyone who got COVID, survived it, but has permanent lung disability or long covid.

Incorrect. The civil war alone resulted in ~750k casualties. That’s already more than COVID in the US without adding in the other wars/conflicts. The pandemic is a massive crisis, but it doesn’t help when people spew garbage “facts” to make a point. D-mb theories about COVID are one reason folks are still dying from this virus.
