Layoffs delayed
There’s a video out on Socrates called Santiago en Vivo with slide that seems to confirm the involuntary separations have been delayed til Feb
Is anyone surprised? - “Typical GM”
I hate to say this but the delays we are seeing in the involuntary separation is typical GM. I know most of us who survived the the downsizing in 2008/9 have already forgotten the “new” GM culture. Promises to be faster, leaner, less bureaucracy has... — read more

Randy blamed large fixed costs for the reason why IT layoffs will be more substantial... Why isn't he to blame?
If you are in IT, then you already know that Mott is anti-cloud, but why the in the world is laying a ton of people off better than using a public cloud to reduce costs? The amount of waste I've seen, and continue to see in IT for infrastructure... — read more

Lay off coming soon.

Questions for the GM people
Did the layoffs that occurred in November/December also include middle and upper managers? FYI I was an engineer with GM for over twenty years before I quit and moved on to another job. Having survived the '08/'09 layoffs I was disappointed that... — read more

In the minds of the leadership Lordstown and Detroit- Hamtramck are done for good
