Thread regarding General Motors layoffs

In the minds of the leadership Lordstown and Detroit- Hamtramck are done for good

Not exactly breaking news, but it still shows the scantiness in the minds of our current leadership. To give up even on the possibility that some form of production can be present in places with such a tradition of assembling cars just shows that their hubris heavily overrides their judgment. Also, this just shows the workers and the general public that at this point they can do anything. If they did this, who is going to stop them from dislocating all of the production out of the US.

People need to take control of their own fates, and not let these companies determine what occurs in their life. History is ripe with people doing their own thing in the time of economic uncertainty, such as starting their own business. They make employers optional, not the other way around. The internet is the greatest library in the world, and you can make it work for you.

You can stand for what you believe, and that belief may be not to support companies that operate this way. By digging your well when times are good, you can give corporate a finger when they give you a boot.
