GM invests additional $22 million into the Spring Hill plant

It’s not that I don’t applaud the company investing in the US, rather than taking any production abroad, but I tend o think that these investments ( mostly talking about the 300 mil investment) are connected with the efforts to close the older plants and restructure the company. I don’t believe the company official that says that no new jobs will be added at Spring Hill one bit. Of course, they aren’t going to trigger a large wave of hirings while the heat about the current layoffs and plant closings is still on. Just wait until all this is over and the affected workers an the general public “calm down”, my two cents we will be seeing a wave of hirings, mostly young cheap workers that they will try to train them to be efficient.
