This site is split about 50/50 regarding Team GM Bonus for laid off salaried workers. Does anyone have any concrete proof that those laid off will still receive their bonus??

I’d bet EVP payout will be delayed. That was when they don’t lay people off on time (as we don’t have a great track record for completing anything on time) they still don’t have to pay them.
No, read your benefits handbook. The day you sign your paper is your separation day. You may be on payroll or benefits until later on, but your separation day will be the day the call you in to talk about your future with GM, and if that day is before the 1st of March: you don’t get the bonus. Deal with it.
I am betting that they will NOT pay it. I mean how much is Team GM for 6000 people?
you are given 5minutes to fill you box and walk out....
My separation date was 4/21/17. I was paid through 8/31/17. The two dates are entirely different. Your separation date is the one date that rules them all. My health insurance was only good through 4/30. That is the sole date everybody should focus on. And whether your deductible goes through the roof or not. COBRA sounds nice but in reality is cost prohibitive. If you are laid off on 2/4 that is the date of record. I don't care how long they pay you for. Why do you think GM executives always leave after 2/28. They get both their teamGM and accrued vacation. I speak from personal experience. End of argument.
You probably were not privy to the documentation provided to employe eligible for voluntary. Voluntary severance employees are gone but still on payroll through Jan 31. For involuntary you will be on payroll through Feb 28 even if you get walked out today.
I suspect people caught in the mass layoffs will be walked out the door right after their session with HR. They're not going to have laid off workers hanging around for another few weeks, or even post-date their separation date so they can get their bonuses. I mean, why would they do that?
You can be laid off next week but your separation date is not until 3/23 which is after payout date. All depends on that separation date.
Again. The date in question is the payout date. The payout date is the end of February. If a separation occurs before that date you are toast. The handbook is crystal clear.
All depends on the date of separation, which may be AFTER the day you are laid off. Separation date and laid off date are two different things.
@Xf0Dxj8-eew "the performance period in which the separation occurs" is the 2019 bonus, payout in 2020. The payout in a few weeks is for 2018.
I have it in writing that involuntary will get it. Believe what you will.
You're confusing voluntary with involuntary. A guaranteed EVP was the only carrot a voluntary separation offered. This lay off is involuntary. Think fired. There will be no EVP this time around folks. Get over it.
Come on guys. Read the Benefits Handbook. The same paragraph is repeated verbatim year after year after year. Refusal to sign the paperwork will not help you either. The day you are laid off is the day of record of your separation. Refusal to sign will merely stop GM from paying you any severance. You're best to be asking questions regarding health care continuation for that period of time than quibbling about a nothing burger EVP.
teamGM Performance Plan
Employees separated under either the GM Severance Plan, or separated by a Mutual Separation that occurs prior to the teamGM Performance Plan payout are not eligible to receive any teamGM Performance Plan payout for the performance period in which the separation occurs.
Yes, you will get it. It was spelled out in detail for those that were offered voluntary. To help people decide whether to take voluntary or wait for involuntary it was written that involuntary employees would remain employees through February 28 and would receive weighted by performance factor. For those that went voluntary there was no performance factor and they will get 100%.
