Delayering?

Okay so did they delayer at all? Or was it just more buzzwords to try convince the investors that Citrix is actually doing something and has a vision? Over in Services, I mean "Sales" and Services it used to be like three hops to from an employee to... — read more

Citrix as an Acquisition Target

What do you think, how likely is that we'll be acquired within next 36 months? Very likely? Possible? I think Citrix is running out of options and it's increasingly harder to fight the fight alone. Thoughts?

Office Closings

Closing additional offices is just a stealth way of getting rid of more people and trying to dodge severance costs. Basically, close an office and tell people they can move to different office to keep there job and watch how many don't and quit on... — read more

No executive mgmt removed, mia CEO still in charge

No change in executive management. A SVP for "Customer Experience"? Start pruning right here. CEO went mia last year for "personal reasons" and left a spreadsheet guy in charge. Great job Mr CEO. It's not 1995 any more, Citrix needs a CEO that can... — read more

HR & Recruiting

How many recruiters got let go in FTL? I'm assuming there is a hiring freeze now?

FYI, Amazon is always recruiting

I know that for many of us is nearly impossible to leave Ft. Lauderdale, but just so you know. Amazon always do a couple of recruitment drives a year in South Florida. They just grab talent off that are tired of the slim picks of the local tech... — read more

From a Cisco colleague

I know it's been a difficult time for our colleagues in Citrix but at least Citrix waited 6 years between each layoff period (correct me if I'm wrong but the previous one was on 2009 and now 2015) I've been working for Cisco for more than 15 years... — read more

How do you do layoffs in Europe?

Can someone explain the process. I am here FTL, it's fairly simple here, the employment is at will and both parties can divorce at any point in time. The law mandates that layoffs at a single location that go over certain headcount treshold (e.g. 50... — read more

The Problem with South Florida

EMEA TRMs, do you have any feedback ?

The silence is frustrating here in Western Europe, all countries have strict laws and people will not be notified before several weeks. Do you know how many TRMs have been hit in other Europe regions? what kind of profiles (S5? S6? S7? experienced?)

Were there mass layoffs before 2009?

I was there when the layoffs happened in 2009. Lady Luck was smiling brightly at me then but this time she gave me the cold shoulder. I got canned yesterday. I heard that there was a mass layoff around 2003. Is it true? Does anyone know? If it is... — read more

The Netscaler group had relatively few layoffs. A rough estimate is about 10-20. Some were in customer support, some in testing, and a few in development. At least a couple of those laid off were managers.
