I am Working at store #295 Gulfport We hardly have anyone on the floor, no hours, and just two registers open. And one day we just had one and just two people in the whole store. Sometimes a line of 15 people or more around the register.

The effectiveness of relying on reflexes for scheduling personnel should be reassessed. Running a company without adequate hours is untenable, and workload planning is far from ideal when there are no dedicated store hours to support it.

Various regions have seen a mass exodus of store level management and regional level leadership since December 2023. Belk is struggling to fill positions across all areas. It’s a sign something is terribly wrong.

Has anyone here had a visit and been told they will be given more hours and everything is going well, only to have payroll hours cut a few weeks after the visit ???🤷‍♀️

There is hardly any foot traffic in our store. Only 49 people entered the store yesterday and foot traffic is down 68%. Hours cut to under 700.
