WFC to be removed from s&p500?
Listening to a podcast today they mentioned banks, and in particular Wells Fargo. Traditional banking has so many headwinds and with the massive shift of valuation, scandals, management mistakes and ever declining asset values the conversation... — read more
Strategic Capital Layoffs
Will there be any layoffs in Strategic Capital. Small BU and highly profitable. There are a few Managers with less than 5 or 6 people. Seems ripe for consolidation. Thoughts?
Is it possible to volunteer for layoff?
Anyone know? I would like a severance package to leave.
I trust the realists more than I trust the yes-men
Per the dictionary: A realist is a person who recognizes a situation as it is and is prepared to deal with it accordingly. A yes man is a weak person who always agrees with their political leader or their superior at work. We are in a dire... — read more

Managers reduced positions
For those who are managers and flattened by the spans —- you will be ORC5 or ORC6 with adjusted salary - control organizations are up first. Of course the pay will be adjusted.
For People rated 2s for low performance and getting tapped, Is WF terminating for "low Performance" or offering severance?
I know a lot of people that have received 2's for no reason other than the "Rank and Yank" guided distribution and had nothing to do with performance. Are these people getting terminated, so WF doesn't have to pay severance or are they still getting... — read more
What's the final tally?
How many total were cut yesterday? I don't think it was as many as some people have been speculating. And I think we're still nowhere close to the 25 percent of the entire workforce that was mentioned at the start of September. I pity those who... — read more
Our little secret conversation
Those news articles that named the lay-off.com gave away our little secret. Multiple team members of mine have approached me asking about this site. It will be nice to have a venue that more people will chime in on.
WFC is down again in pre-market trading: 21.45. Ughh!!!

Scharf at it again
Having seen Charlie’s work first hand at his previous gig, I’m not surprised here I wonder why he keeps getting CEO when the only thing he can do for “growth” is to cut deep and hard. Best of luck to you all.

Curious how creditable and anonymous this tread is? People are losing their jobs! Anxiety levels are extreme! What here is the truth?
No layoffs in Meetings and Events
Could change but they probably recognize our criticality and how understaffed we are.

Massive must be taken in context and with a grain of salt.
To me if 1000 are let go today that is massive. Full stop. In the grand scheme of 260k+ employees at less than half a percentage it is not “a lot” of people. But any coordinated culling involving multiple groups occurring on specified dates is indeed... — read more
