The circus is in town permanently

So WTC Facilities hires yet ANOTHER Community Leader with no facilities training, skills, or experience. I’m all for giving people opportunities, but gradually move them up, don’t throw them in the fire. No qualifications equals no credibility... — read more

Does Gm have a chance with Tesla new Truck?

Just read a blog for Tesla new SuperTruck? Should GM worry? I would think so. Although GM new Trucks (2018 - 2019) are amazing. The Dashboard will need a upgrade with Tesla's dash design. GM IT team should be happy to here this. But should employees... — read more

Blacklisted from getting another job at GM?

I was salary laid off from back in February. I am under 40 years old. In my separation packet I got a page that said I am eligible to apply again and my past employment with the company would be taken into consideration. I have applied to many jobs... — read more

Is GM too big to fail?

I'm thinking yes. Whatever happens, the company will be still standing in the end.

GM is hiring still, even with the strike.

Slowly hiring, even contract folks again. How many of you feel that this zero EV movement is more politically driven than actual ? My thought is we will have both ICE and electric offerings at the same time for decades to come. More of a wide... — read more

Who won?

If stock price goes down once ratified, the UAW won. If stock price stays the same or goes up, GM won. Prove me wrong.

Unbelievable

$11000 bonus and they are still picketing!!! What else do you guys want! Go back to work and earn your money for a change instead of aggravating hardworking fulltime employees at the tech center!

congrats!

To all the UAW workers for standing your ground while standing toe to toe with a 1200 pound gorilla! Good fight!

Tolerance level

Quoting Reuters After GM angered the UAW negotiators last week by appealing directly to workers and revealing details of the No. 1 U.S. automaker’s latest offer, the sides have continued talking. The UAW made a counter offer to GM on... — read more

UAW overplayed their hand

Workers are missing loan payments and it’s beyond clear GM is not budging on temps or allocating products. GM just sweetened their offer and the union is backed into a corner because they can’t give members the guaranteed jobs they promised.

Strike Affecting GM Financial?

I work at GM Financial and things are not looking good. We have a larger balance sheet than last year but we have lower earnings which does not make sense. Poor performance is the only explanation. On top of this, with GM producing fewer cars due... — read more

UAW Fight about Mexican Workers

Don't think the UAW will win the fight about jobs moving south. I've seen the Mexico workforce grow by 2,000 workers over the past three years with at least 20 product launches in Silao, San Luis Potosi, and Toluca over the next few years. Sorry... — read more

It won't be long beforeGM becomes irrelevant,

GM has left all markets in the world because they can't make a profit, aside from US, and China for the moment. With GM alienating many of their US customer base, and China floundering in sales, it won't be long before they become irrelevant, a... — read more

IT, make sure that resume is up to date

If I were IT, I’d make sure that resume is ready. The longer the strike goes on and GM is losing big money daily, WFRs are the quickest way to get some money back. And with Mott being head of IT, he’s big on WFRs. Keep in mind, they were making money... — read more

Anyone feeling like their leaders are treating them like an id–t nowadays since the company is going through a rough patch? I'm the same hard worker I was during the boom five years ago!
