Heard they did save some beyond Detroit. They wanted to close three additional facilities during negotations that had not yet been reported. I'm sure they will be closed soon enough but they live fight another day for now.
There should never be a UAW anymore, anywhere, period. Much of the success of Toyota, Honda, Volkswagen and now of Tesla and Google can be attributed to their production lines filled with workers who work in good faith and not under the umbrella or protection if a union. That makes their products simply crafted better. I used to work for a supplier and been to Lake Orion plant and can't believe my eyes how the line work doesn't require any skill at all. To think most of them make over $30/hr with just 3% going to healthcare costs makes you really wonder of who really has the greed on. UAW will continue to hurt American businesses and unintentionally help their competitors. UAW should be removed from American plant labor.
how many electric trucks are people ready to buy? answer is very few. mtb's triple zero vision is mostly political. Works in socialist EU and may work here if the dems cheat and put in a socialist who demands we only make and sell EV's. oops I'm not supposte do talk politics here. but the EV vs. ICE is mostly a political/religious discussion.
I thought the Hamtramck plant was going to be retooled for an electric truck?
Contrary to the view of many union workers, negotiating involves give and take. Neither party ever gets everything they want. Funny how whenever a company doesn’t bend over to ever demand, the union line is “The company is not bargaining in good faith”
