They go bankrupt again, guess what! Game over.
UAW Contracts become null and void.
You UAWs sign and agree to this you're all in for a rude awaking, take that 11k go ahead and fall for it! Management knows that's all it will take to silence all of you, instead demand product be brought back to the US, that was the goal I thought not friggin bonuses.

Welp and there ya go, GM layoff site should be changed to GM boo hoo for salaried heads only, can't say you weren't all warned, a professional union would not have hurt.
Salaried is absolutely no different than being contract. All of you can thank the uaw for all of your paid holidays and extra paid days off.
Don't come here crying when you get laid off.

Same contract as 2015. Union lost 16% of base pay since bankruptcy and will lose more over next 4 years. All you math wizards explain how this raises costs?

GM Bankruptcy 2.0 next. Just a matter of time so the course of events can take place. Perfect storm is brewing but with new folks. This time GM won't be bailed out. Bye bye GM. Raise the prices of those cars and trucks too. Your market is shrinking and your costs are going up.

Well... some of our white collared colleagues don't understand the strength of a collective voice representing and defending an individual, especially at comlanies like this.
Are there lazy bums in the UAW? Yes of course, just like there are among salaried! UAW isn't overpaid. The salaried are underpaid. When was the last time a family could run, sustain & save, and clear off all debts, on 1 person's salary?

I heard the UAW represented Aramark workers don't have a contract yet. Does anyone here think if the GM union workers are told to go back to work that they would cross the Aramark picket line?

You id–ts quit bashing the salary folks, you do realize they have to show up for work, they can't just walk out. It's at will employment, they will get fired.

Too bad that the salaried workforce doesn't stand up against GM leadership. GM laid off a lot of exceptional employees last February using a totally unfair and biased selection process and employees were powerless. There will be additional layoffs in the near future and again the salaried workers will not be able to fight back. A Union does serve a purpose in preventing senior leadership from taking such actions.

Agreed! Bravo for standing up for the working class of America! I was hoping the salaried heads would have stood up, but hey.
Now it's time to releave fire crotch from her duties and give her the golden parachute she knows she'll receive.
