I am pretty checked out and don't want to be here a year from now and want to just keep collecting paychecks . Morale is low and I don't really respect or like any of my co workers. Mediocre people in general and un inspiring.
Is getting a promotion even worth it? From GSR to LLx
Wondering if its worth putting in time and effort to possibly still be canned vs starting to look outside.
Just SOLD my last 500 share at Ford!
I believe that ford stock will go dawn eventually. I sold out and now I have nothing with the "Family"
Is september 25th the next confirmed layoff date?
Just asking to be sure so I am not caught off guard
Is the plan really to axe the entire North America engineering department at Ford?
As in, to cut everyones jobs and move it to other countries? Seems like a recipe for disaster.
How to know if you are making too much for your level?
Im asking because I want to know if I might be targeted because I am at the top of the range
It's hard to get a new job
I'm slowly getting desperate because I thought it would take me a lot less time to get a new offer, but it turned out completely different. I would not like to stay here and worry until I get laid off. On the other hand, it seems to me that... — read more
If you know anyone who was laid off, was it performance based/ were they bad?
Trying to figure out what metrics are being used to target people and if its by age/ demographic etc.
Ford rehire policy
I got laid off from Ford last week, but I see Ford hiring for positions matching my profile. I really don't want to come back to Ford, but looks like there aren't many job opportunities in the market. Does anyone know what is the rehire policy of... — read more
How does performance management work here?
I don't want to stay here for a long time but want to stretch out my time so I can keep collecting paychecks with the least amount of work until I can find another job. What should I be doing to not be targetted? Making up alot of work and... — read more
Performance+ = 3 birds with one stone
Change my mind – the new Performance+ process is an attempt by senior management to ki-l three birds with one stone: Fire expensive pension holders legally (with less lawsuits for age/race/gender) under pretense of “low performance” Insulate... — read more
Ford ADAS layoffs
How many people from ADAS department were laid off? And why? Is the strategy to outsource the ADAS projects to Latitude AI? What do you guys think?
WARN Act
It seems likely to me that there was a mass layoff (as defined by the WARN Act) at the Dearborn campus (Research & Engineering Center) with no notice and thus we would are entitled to 60 days pay and benefits. This seems better than the alternative... — read more
Working at Ford is like: "The Lottery" by Shirley Jackson. (1969)

Not worth living in anxiety if I will be chopped next or not
Not only are we all underpaid ( no equity/ actual upside) but we have to deal with this constant fear of getting let go in the next 2 to 3 months. I'm done.
Increasing your marketability
As I started looking for a new job, it became clear to me that I am much less marketable than I thought. Getting a better job will be difficult unless I do something about it. How to increase your marketability in a short time? Is there a way? — read more
Should I stay longer even though I don't see a future here?
Would I be labelled as a job hopper if I left after only 1 year? I dont't want to wait until I get laid off eventually. This past week was awful for my mental health.
Anyone know of a good Wrongful Termination lawyer?
The separation compensation is so tiny I think it’s worth a gamble to get a lawyer to pursue wrongful termination. Maybe Ford made a mistake in their haste. It’s been known to happen. Like firing people with a set of skills where Ford still has... — read more
Is the best strategy to quiet quit?
Quiet quit and basically look externally for better opportunities. Most of my team and org has been really quiet and I've noticed that work has slowed down.
Will RTO be enforced soon?
Dealing with the aftermath of this past week and then dealing with this would be too much but not out of the ordinary.
It’s been a week since the latest layoffs
I look outside on this bright, sunny, warm July 4th morning and wonder, how can the world be so [copulated] up?
Are we allowed to work another job?
As in, being over employed i.e having 2 full time jobs while being at Ford. I have no faith that i wont be affected in September and don't want to be thrown out to the horrible job market

Canadian Engineers, How many weeks/months per year of service? I wonder if it is 1 month a year or 2 weeks a year.
No idea how anyone is keeping calm and is able to focus

Ford is headed in a bad direction

Stock is garbage; expecting it to go to 0
Take a look at the stock market chart, Ford has literally been range bound for multiple years and the only reason it has any value is because of the dividend. With the layoffs happening every 3 months here and the morale down the toilet, I have no... — read more
I'm starting my job search outside now.
Not going to wait until September 25th to hope and pray that I am not put on the chopping block. Seems very unhealthy and anxiety inducing to be constantly worried if I will be next. I can't gamble my financial future on this.
I won't stop buying Ford
I won't punish employees for something Ford leadership is responsible for.
