Rumors have a reason to exists. All this year, there were many Ford HR trolls denying that there were going to be layoffs, you know them. Even though all LL's have signed a NDA, they still leak info to their close associates, and they share that info with their colleagues.
All negative rumors about layoffs were TRUE, now depending on the source, indeed it is expected another round by the end of September. Per a R&AE LL'x that was SIRP'ed in July, all Div's that met 25% headcount reduction are safe for next round, all those other Div's that did not meet quote have the option of firing at will every other week / month or have a massive SIRP in September. LL rolled the dice to stay employed he could have retired last Fall to get Pension Lump Sum w/o penalty, now he got monthly pension instead which is a good amount of money, he has enough savings that he does not need to collect SS until he reaches 67. He said that R&AE was caught with their pants down, the new VP (Jones) is an outsider who did not care for seniority or past contributions from the SIRP'ed people. Jones wanted more people to go but he was told by HR that he could not get new people to replace those gone until the end of the year. Other VP's were not as aggressive as Jones, but they eventually will have to meet their 25% reduction. SIRP is the way forward, HR found the recipe to avoid lawsuits. There is a law firm in Boston that is advising HR, they are associated with the consulting firm that implemented the D-mb Redesign. D-mb and Dummer. LL'x said that JF is happy with the positive feedback he got from Wall Street and he is eagerly looking to meet the overall 25% reduction by the end of the year. In private, JF praises the leadership style of Jack "The Kn--e" Nasser, JF is envious of Alan Mulally's legacy and wants to get rid off VP's who groomed under his administration. At JF's inner circle, there are strong rumors that some of their VP are under warning (Gray, Po-n, etc.). JF wants a new cadre of VP's and Directors, people in their late 30's early 40's like Matt Jones VP of R&AE.
Forget about blaming DEI or woke or Mexico or China or India or Blacks or Women, new leadership is coming from Silicon Valley and / or from Tesla / Riviand / Argo etc.
I won't be surprised if VP's Gray and Po-n are replaced with people half their age who live in San Franciso or LA. And / or from Texas (Tesla)

I say September another 1000+ get laid off. One of my neighbors must have some high sources at Ford. She told me before the August 2022 layoff Ford was targeting 8000 layoffs. Well there were 3000 last year, betting another 1000+ now. Who knows how many stealth layoffs in between. So that leaves about 4000 left go to. Like others said here. Betting there going to fire everyone that's not program management. All the REAL work will be exported outside Dearborn. I was a third generation Ford employee, now I'm embarrassed to mention it. Once I get a job again, I wont be buying Ford vehicles anymore.
Whats mind blowing, they dont care what any of us were working on. There was no handoff of duties to someone else. Whatever you were doing just fell on the floor. I dont understand how things can just keep running like normal with so much knowledge and work we were doing lost and not being done.
Regularly. Notice at town halls busnisess as usual with no acknowledgement of layoff and those that got let go for greater good as was done in the past. Disappointed that kumar said nothing about it like he has in the past. He seemed to be more understanding of employee concerns in the past but now he is Jimmy Car Car's puppet.

Ford made the tragic mistake of going all in on EV way to fast while ki-ling off ICE. The fundamental problem is nobody wants to buy a very expensive Ford EV and never will due to their battery 🔋 fires 🔥, poor reliability and poor JD power ratings. People who want an EV will buy a Tesla. DF at model e must be fired along with JF.

After those 'quarterly layoffs' Ford may allegedly settle into a more stable 'bi-annual layoff pattern' so long as we get the government bailout quid-pro-quo for pushing the delusional EV mantra, etc. Also - creating the same jobs in mexico or india that we eliminate in NA gives us points with the mark-cyst regime in charge because they hate Americans, especially white males . . .
