Does anyone know if the Quality Organizations got hit with layoffs ?? Given Ford's dismal Quality delivery, Head of Quality should have been held accountable. Whoever is leading those teams should have been ousted. Ford needs competent engineers who can deliver High Quality Designs. Instead, Ford keeps creating staff organizations who do nothing but reporting bad news and then blame it on Engineers.

JH has provided his JDP leadership to do bring Ford to the bottom of the JDP rankings. He has provided no leadership about how to prioritize and best use the data - he seems so arrogant in every meeting or gathering, but adds no value nor strategy to fix the JDP problems - just an overpaid blowhard. KK was a fresh promotion to Quality Director from a PT area - she has no real Quality/Reliability background nor training. Her best idea for Quality is to use skilled Black belts and Forward Model Quality/Reliability staff to be nothing more than evidence Auditors of programs - just more checkers and PowerPoint R/Y/G but no strategy / process / BB help to identify Quality Escape point root causes and fix/prevent. The Quality team is now working even more separate from the Engineering teams as auditors. The engineering teams and Quality Team don’t even have clearly aligned objectives - another big Quality problem that the Quality leadership team ignores and they do their thing separate without Engineering support that see them as ankle biters.
Some real good experienced Quality people were let go in the last round - they had many years, good salaries which appear to have targeted them. It doesn’t take any real skill to do the meaningless Quality evidence audits. There are some LL6 and GSRs that have lost a Manager that wasn’t replaced and they have not been reassigned yet. Majority of Quality has still not returned to office, but okay as all you have to do is data transport and report R/Y/G.
Ford fired STA quality engineers last week. So quality and reliability will only get worse along with suppliers. Most suppliers already hate dealing with Ford anyway.
Is Josh Halliburton still at Ford? I don't see him listed in the People section of Ford's media site:

Was anyone let go from Quality Organization ?? Seems like Ford is expanding the fiefdom of trackers and G/Y/R metrics publishers. Josh Halliburton is from J D Powers consulting group. By definition, consulting companies are the ones who are good in Powerpoint presentations... but not good in improving any operation !! His speeches in every townhall is nothing but motherhood cliches ... totally divorced from the ground realities. JF keeps bringing in outsides who have no clue about running automotive operations.
Tracking gives high visibility and requires really, really low skill workers. Smart management loves tracking (not necessary the tracking/trackers) because they love the visibility. The people do work got tracked and have to spend time talking to the trackers. Many people do not like the trackers because they protect their friends by hiding friends' inability to deliver and exposing others as issues. It is a game, nothing other than a game. A blaming game.
Halliburton is protecting his fiefdom which is chock-full of trackers and metric publishers.
