ICE vehicles were perfectly fine and they outright scrapped it in favor for full EV?
what on earth were they thinking?
EVs do not have the range
Nor do we have infrastructure to support it at scale.
Imagine being stuck in Traffic for an emergency evacuation.
will an EV be able to last for several hours in that situation?
now imagine having to recharge during said situation along with 1000s of others.
it takes like an hour or more to fully charge an EV. You'll be stuck for days just trying to get a charge.
With ICE it takes at least 3 minutes to fill up your tank and you are on your way.
Why didn't Ford focus on Hybrids till the infrastructure and battery technology were viable?
I mean really don't get the EV hype.
- battery is unreliable and range is affected by temperature.
- Little to no charge stations beyond cities.
- Fire hazard when charging overnight at your own home
- Takes too long to charge.
- Terrible for emergency scenarios. A backup generator can power a gas station for a bit because the pumps don't use too much electricity. But to charge multiple EV on a backup generator?
they are firing everybody except for the actual people responsible for the failures.
the company as a whole doesn't even make sense anymore.
