Remember a job at ford these days is only temporary but your personal vehicle is a long term investment - so choose your car wisely!

FLV moved to the US in 2021 from France. Highly doubt he bought it before he joined Ford.

Did they mention the age of the Vette? If not, it could be a classic which would not be an issue in my opinion. I bought a GM classic well before I worked at Ford and still own it today.

@1lrz Often times when children graduate from college they are driving the cars their parents bought them / they bought for themselves when they were thinking about affordable safe reliable transportation. They continue to drive those vehicles until they need replacement which could be 15 years.
Now apply the same logic to experienced hires, who again had vehicles pre-Ford.

Now you understand the lack of Ford vehicles in Ford parking lots. It is a symptom of the self-inflicted disease of “Ford only builds expensive Trucks and SUVs, which aren’t stellar on the safe and reliable categories”.

When someone is promoted to LL6, they are pressured to lease a Ford vehicle.

Company parking lots in Dearborn used to be full of Jaguar, Land Rover, Volvo and Mazda brands when Ford owned them. Jac Nasser drove an Aston Martin.

Corvettes are for retirees. I don’t like the mid engine version looks goofy. All cars made today look goofy.

All GSRs in our department who got promoted to LL6 were either driving Toyota,Hyundai or Hondas to work. Now they all drive company lease vehicles to work suddenly after promotion. All hypocrites, so called leaders!!

In the 90's there was a supervisor who drove nothing but Vettes. Then there was a new hire manager who was fired from Harley Davidson who showed up in a Lexus LS400 and parked in the managerial spaces. I did not mind the Vette, but the Lexus was a no-no and she made a stink about it. So Ford was hiring A-Holes for a long time.
