March 9 - Are layoffs confirmed?

I’ve seen this date thrown around a bunch in here and between coworkers. Is this date confirmed for a mass RIF?? Curious as to where that came from and if it’s credible… Thanks in advance

How worried should I be about layoffs at chc?

I’ve been doing my work for 8 almost 9 months. Keeping my head down doing my work and I think I’ve been doing a good job. I’m in accounts receivable. I haven’t been worried about layoffs too much because I don’t know anyone personally except for one... — read more

Leaving CHC amidst layoffs

Hey all! Current Change employee here…. Over the last few weeks there’s been more and more layoffs following the Optum merger. I’ve been with CHC since 2020 and felt secure in my job until recently. Love the work I do, love my team, but hate working... — read more

How come more people don’t know about layoffs?

So I was trying to look up an old friend on teams and I realized she was missing. So I texted her and come to find out she was laid off last week. She stated she was the only one who was laid off from her team. This is the first that I’ve heard... — read more

Update your resume

I don't have any insights about layoffs, but my advice to everyone is that it is better to have an updated resume than to be completely surprised by a layoff. I don't think that the leadership is steering the company in the right direction, so I... — read more

In the dark

All we keep hearing is that Leadership does not know anything more than what we know… the under the rug silent scheming has me looking elsewhere. It is reprehensible the way these “layoffs” are being handled. I am also not comfortable with the way ... — read more

Layoffs and slashed benefits!

Come for at Change where many US employees enjoyed unlimited discretionary PTO....not anymore! The Optum benefit package is gutting unlimited discretionary PTO and there is zero transparency. I am hoping for a severance package but it will probably... — read more

Severance Package?

Does anyone have details on severance package yet? If I started at Change less than 1 year ago, would I even qualify for a severance package?

Terrible non-transparency

This is not my first job, I worked at several companies that also had layoffs, however, I am very unpleasantly surprised by the lack of transparency here. I am reading about the experiences of people who were laid off but were not given details of... — read more

Optum positions

Has anyone applied and had luck with any optum jobs? Since we are supposed to be selected first. Not like I want to work for them since they have caused all of this uproar but if I need to I will for the time being.

Next round on March 9

I've seen several people mention that the next round of notifications will go out on March 9. Does anybody know where this information is coming from? Is this legit or are people guessing? I thought that after the latest round, we'll be done with... — read more

Severance Package

Can anyone confirm the details of the severance package they're handing out? Is it one week, two weeks, or no weeks of pay for years of service? Health coverage seems to cover a month and that's it before COBRA kicks in

More Layoffs

Optum/United Health Care are doing their usual slash and burn after an acquisition. They want the name and technology. I could give two sh--s about my job but they laid off some 30+ year folks that have a ton of knowledge and contacts. More to come... — read more

Layoffs are happening

All of it is true. Hundreds are being notified today and will have one month then the 3rd round will happen on March 9th and will terminate on April 9th, just after year end and Q4. I know people are being notified today, but can anybody confirm... — read more

I'm not worried about tomorrow

The worst-case scenario? I no longer work here. That might have been a scary prospect a while ago, but lately? Not really. This place has changed so much for the worse that being given severance to leave can only be seen as a gift or a blessing. For... — read more

When can we expect more layoffs?

So with layoffs this week (official end date 02/09/23) Does anyone know when we could expect the next wave? I love my job but seriously have zero job security and that's not healthy for anyone of us!

Flex Time/Work Life Balance

Do other CHC Offices have Flex Time ? I work for the Pitt office and we had ours taken away. I didn’t use it much but it was nice to know that I could work longer during the week (4 9 hour shifts) so that I may leave early on a day I or my kids... — read more

Got laid off this week

Layoffs are continuing

6 of us had a group layoff via a teams meeting today. Talk about cold and impersonal. Seems as they chose the ones with least seniority and that’s how they decided who to lay off. I had a feeling this may have been coming with the merger. The layoff... — read more

Change Healthcare and Optum are one. What next?

So does anyone know what will happen next? My gut feeling is there will be layoffs on both sides. I am guessing we will be good for the month or two but after that everyone should be prepared for the future. I will post if I hear anything
