Thread regarding Change Healthcare layoffs

Next round on March 9

I've seen several people mention that the next round of notifications will go out on March 9. Does anybody know where this information is coming from? Is this legit or are people guessing? I thought that after the latest round, we'll be done with layoffs for a while. Looks like I might have been wrong.

I agree with the post about monthly layoffs. Say goodbye to job security. What better way to drive performance than a culture of fear and competitiveness? In an environment of tech layoffs and a slowing economy? That's a win - win! With 380k employees, it's a guarantee 99% of us are just numbers.

It was not just management that received the emails. I have received all emails with updates.

An email is certainly not a guarantee of continued employment. Optum 'refines' their workforce on a monthly cadence so get used to a trickle of monthly layoffs instead of the yearly reductions that we're used to. If you're looking to quantify your overall job security then it may be time to update your expectations. Making it past a yearly workforce reduction usually means that you're good for the upcoming year but those reductions are now monthly from here on out.

Read the fine print. All integration emails from Optum say at the bottom that receipt of the email does not guarantee a certain position or employment at Optum.

What are the chances of them increasing our pay? 🤔

I did get the email today about pto and I guess we will find out about pay grades in the next email. With a merger, can they decrease our pay legally?

An integration update email went out on 2/9, including a link to a welcome website and the password that goes with it. The website has a link called "Key Dates". A lot of milestones are on there.

Only managers received the PTO email and all team members should receive later this week.

Can someone (honestly) confirm whether getting this email means you’re not getting laid off but if you didn’t get this email about another email coming soon, will be gone? Does that mean that those of us who didn’t get the email will lose our jobs? As a single mother of two my family got a lot riding on this and really would like honesty.

I wonder why all of us didn't get the email notifying about another email for the 2nd week of March about salary and pto ect. I just doubled checked and didn't get one. Was it all employees or maybe just managers?

Do you know if all employees got that email? Or just a select group? I would assume those of us that will be cut were not included on this list.

The date is legit. Reliable sources have cited that product, sales and possibly tech will be impacted.
