What do you think?

Is this going to work? Do you think 2 full time and 1 part timer can get everything done? None of our receiving associates are staying. Seems like a big mess to me.

Back room shifts

Anyone been told what the shifts will be for the full and part time? I worked in claims and worked 7:00 to 3:30. I can’t seem to get an answer if all will start at 5:00. Having young kids at home I know I can’t go in before 6:00 because of before... — read more

See for yourself

I realize receiving is gone, but to apply for the new back room position you need to preference through the receiving office position. They have them linked, you can play with it and see for yourself.

We have lost 4 managers in 3 months

Something is happening if all these long term managers/coaches are leaving to work else where. They have the right idea, get got on your own terms.

Great quarter for Sam's club

Sam's is forever boasting about how well the company is doing. Well, I guess so, they are targeting the long term associates and eliminating their positions. They try to turn it around and make themselves look good. Do these people at HO really think... — read more

Just when we thought the company couldn't get any more pathetic, they eliminate receiving and claims right BEFORE Christmas. How much lower can they get? After 25 years if you are not able to drive a forklift, you are gone. If they think that... — read more

It’s just a job

It doesn't make sense to stay. There is no position in the club where I wouldn't be taking a huge pay cut. After 26 years it is difficult to start over. I am 3 years away from retirement. I guess I'll take the payout. That will give me time to find... — read more

Those who are ineligible:

Were you given a reason as to why you can't apply for the new backroom position? No one will give me a reason, other than saying it's based on performance. Wouldn't that mean coachings? I don't have any on file.

Severance and 401k

You can have up to 50 percent of your paycheck go to your 401k so would it be possible to make that change right before leaving? Might save more on taxes that way and then I believe you can draw from your 401k 30 days after your last day. Anyone with... — read more

My concern is that just because im under the age of 39 i only have 15 days to decide and not 45 days. What does age have to do with it. We should all get either the 15 or 45.I lose out on that extra check and my Sam's share.
