Interesting when people write comments here telling us how we should feel, what not to say, when they are not going through this layoff. It is okay to have these feelings, talk about them, and then move on. We have good days and bad days. You have no... — read more
It's been just over 2 months since this latest layoff, how is everyone doing?
I've tried staying in touch with a few of my friends at RJ as well as a few I knew that were let go on 9/15 when I was let go. Some are having it tougher than others, especially those that are under 60, have kids and bills. Most everyone I know is... — read more
Anyone considering returning to RJ?

Prayers for all of you.

ESOP and Profit Sharing?
I've seen it mentioned in a couple other posts replies but I think it merits its own posting. I've been with RJ just over 5 years (well used to be with RJ). Each year it seems we get roughly 5% Profit sharing and 2% ESOP. I know I heard in one of... — read more
It's finally hitting home-freedom

Health Care Advocates letter
Just got a letter from RJ saying I can use Heath Care Advocates until the end of the year. Can I get a job with them? Can they pay my mortgage? I might call and ask next week.
Just got Severance taxed at 30%??!!
I just received my Severance check stub and I see it in my bank to be deposited tomorrow. It was taxed at 30.3%. I was not expecting anywhere near that, this is quite a bit less than I was thinking it would be.
Just waiting.
Well tomorrow my last check (severance) from RJ will be deposited into my checking account. It is so bittersweet after over 10 years of loyalty. There are no jobs out there and Florida unemployment pays a whopping $275 a week for which I’m grateful... — read more
