I was laid off, and the nice old man on the phone said that M8 is a huge success and will be supported for years to come. So the lucky go-getters that will have the dream job of supporting M8 will get to stay at Oracle at least until 2022...

Fortunately the Sparc layoff today was greatly exaggerated, and not the 50% reduction some said would happen, but I still think the big layoff will be soon...
