OR unattainable..

Norfolk Southern is projected to have a 62.5% OR which is still off the mark even after destroying many peoples livelihoods, this company is a one trick pony with no long term vision insight.

Purging Talent

I've never worked for a company so eager to purge a talented workforce. The only equivalent I can think of would be Stalin's great purge, but that was done for loyalty purposes. The NS's purge is pure greed. I'm obviously not talking... — read more

Predictions on tomorrow’s OR, Earnings Call

So what is it going to be? Another failure, or are they going to get that magic 60? Will Squires be ousted with failure of “TOP21”? The only TOPs around here are the other railroads that regularly slam NS in the stink-hole quarter after... — read more

Too many bosses, very few leaders

I’m not sure if I know of any company that has more bosses per employee than NS has? It really got ridiculous. However, perhaps it would not be such a problem, if among all these bosses there is someone with a vision, that is, someone who is a... — read more

Where’s the FRA?

Lots and lots of FRA items being signed off by shops because of lack of manpower! Bosses are doing the work of 20 men from inside the office. No wonder there’s so many derailments. A LCDI is easy on the computer.
