When will ISG Reorg

When will reorg happen? What department will get hit hardest? What happened to the vp Charles Ferland? Just trying to gauge if I should reply to all the recruiter emails. What is severance?

Layoff on the quiet?

Seems like smaller scale resource actions are going on. Colleague from IDG just got news last week on being let go. Totally blindsided, as they were told last quarter they were safe.

Reorg 2024

So what are our thoughts? VPs and EDs sem more clueless than ever

Layoffs 2024

People told today that their last day will be March 31. Multiple departments affected by the layoff.

Layoffs

Are the rumors about ISG layoffs true? Reorg would mean layoffs are coming.

Lenovo management is blind.

How does Lenovo management not understand the optics of having an 8AM mandatory all hands after a holiday weekend to show a US representative how much employees love Lenovo and how "Chinese" they aren't. This is the most Chinese thing you could... — read more

ISG Layoffs st Lenovo

Has anyone heard about any ISG layoffs? Any idea who's group affected and what is timing?

Re-org again?

Anyone knows whether there'll be layoffs or RA's again? EDs are being shuffled around, reporting to each other just bloating executive levels. Lower level employees are disappearing.

Lenovo Layoffs Again!

Seriously? This company is laying of all the useful people again and again - not sure how they are going to complete? Many Layoffs confirmed in IDG....

April 12 Layoffs

People were told today that they are being laid off and their last day will be May 15th. Multiple departments affected.

Cost-cutting measures

I hope at least that the cuts won't be big, but I'm already trying to find a new opportunity somewhere else. Are layoffs inevitable when the leadership decides to cut costs?

For those laid off, it almost costs $0 to Lenovo

For those that are affected, look at your unvested HSA (or whatever it is called). That account is held in escrow until you are laid off. It is extremely rare for anyone that is let go to have a vested balance. Mine was about $29k when laid off. My... — read more

A hint on when layoffs occur

Layoffs will always occur in months that end on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. It makes the accounting easier. That means even December is game if the 31st is on a Saturday Bonus hint: Layoffs occur after elections not before. No company wants... — read more

What an awful place to work!

It is meaningless to be a dedicated employee here, considering that it is precisely those who are the most dedicated - the least valued. When I leave Lenovo, the main reason will be the terrible management. Isn't that the biggest reason why many... — read more

Lenovo: "An American Security Threat"

When will this end?

I'm unsure how much more of the constant news of hiring freezes and layoffs in tech I can take without going bonkers. I know things like this happen occasionally but I don't remember that it was ever this bad for so many companies - including the... — read more

It's all about profit

I know profit is important, but when you're willing to go after profit at all costs then the company is going to suffer and ultimately fail. When they put profit above knowledge and experience by laying off some of the best and most senior employees... — read more

A ton of work

I love my job, but I don't love it so much that I constantly work overtime to get everything done. The manager does not care that his expectations are unrealistic, because he has probably never tried to do such a large amount of work by himself... — read more
