Reorgs are still going on! More unnecessary middle management who are clueless
If you believe your head is on the chopping block, read a piece titled The Hatchet Man's Playbook. All the best!
I think they layoffs were larger than thought - i had heard the bulk was actually in overseas, but significant cuts across all BU's to higher-level roles in the states including IBMers. My guess is more to come as all the rumors continue to be about department mergers more and more in the last year. And there seems to be some unwritten rule that these had to be unrecognized. Was even hearing rumors that someone chose to 'move on from the company' instead of acknowledging they were laid off.
Kickoff is first week of April. Layoffs happened but seems lower scale than last year. End Q1 could see another round. At the moment they are shuffling people around under new roles with no clear direction. Maybe in hopes people will just quit and save on compensation.
Our director always talks to us after every single layoff. This time, no one has even acknowledged they happened. I think there may be more surprises.
Does anyone think there are more layoffs coming? The ones mentioned here didn't even make the news. I feel ISG still vulnerable.
Kick off is all virtual since it probably hard to fill an arena with all the layoffs the last few years , am I right ?!
Where is Kickoff this year?
Not sure who ended up where and how. Waiting for Kick-off 2024 brainwash session with YY
