Thread regarding Lenovo layoffs

Layoff on the quiet?

Seems like smaller scale resource actions are going on. Colleague from IDG just got news last week on being let go. Totally blindsided, as they were told last quarter they were safe.

Definitely feels like a shift and consolidation. Our GM let go. I just wonder when we will know at mgr level.

My coworker from SSG DT was informed Monday. Kirk leaving announced today… Lots of Reorgs happening. New fiscal year surprises!

What you just described about soft firings is exactly what is happening to our team right now. The environment is incredibly hostile!

Not certain about actual layoffs, but there are soft firings taking place. People basically being treated so poorly that they are forced out.

I heard of an exec in ISG that got let go but I never saw it announced. Management ignoring emails. The team was told they were fine but it looks like something is coming. Somewhere on this board, said end of quarter which would align with layoffs after bonuses. Does anyone know what's going on?

The SS used to tell the prisoners they were going to take a shower to keep them calm, then march them into the gas chambers. Same tactic used by Lenovo management... Keep the peons working 60+ hrs./week so they can get those bonuses. Then, when you're no longer profitable, it's off the gas chamber!
