What is the redundancy process?

Are people notified in advance and then leave a couple of weeks later or something? I’ve not faced redundancy before and if I unfortunately am laid off I want to prepare myself. I’ve heard that people who are going to be laid off already know who... — read more

Hello All, Please all use the format to report any layoffs within your team or anyone you know but make sure it’s a confirmed report. Format. BU: Team: optional if you know. City: Sector: (Finance, HR, Engineering, Sales, Marketing... — read more

How are you doing with the job search?

I’ve stepped up my efforts ahead of May, but honestly, I’m more terrified than ever about losing my job. These days, even landing an interview feels like mission impossible.

Watching HPE drive away its best talent firsthand

I was the person everyone came to for answers. The one who fixed problems before most people even knew they existed. And you know what? I walked away. It wasn’t an easy decision, but watching them bring in outsiders at higher levels while the rest... — read more

So, major layoffs happening in May?

Is what we’ve seen over the past couple of days just the beginning? There’s talk of a 10% reduction, with most of the cuts expected in the first and third weeks of May. Is that still just an unconfirmed rumor?

Finance layoffs

We lost someone to layoffs on our team in finance today. Anyone else?

What’s the main criteria when it comes to layoffs?

Is it performance? Compensation? Role? Something else? All I’ve really noticed so far is that it usually seems like older employees get hit the hardest. But since age discrimination’s supposed to be illegal, that can’t be the reason behind who gets... — read more

No innovation and recycling managers

HPE lacks innovation and the people at the forefront appears to have been there since Compaq. Not sure why they constantly recycle management like some managers have been there for so long and when they promote people it just be someone that was... — read more

How do you know if a colleague is WFR’d?

I’d like to be sensitive and also not waste my time on projects with someone who will no longer be on the team. I.e if there are tasks I should be picking up on their behalf instead of missing deadlines. Is there some sort of identifier in workday... — read more

Leaders being told this week. Looks like 10% in Mark Bakers Ops group (Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Services, Support).

"HPE Appoints Stacy Dillow as Chief People Officer"

Pidgin holed?

Does anyone feel pidgin holed with lack of career growth or lack of training?

How does HR decide who gets laid off?

Just attended the ATM for Servers today. They announced 250 layoffs in the organization which is approximately 5%. They said it’s a mixture of performance based and just cost cutting. With that being said, how do they typically decide? Who is most at... — read more

hpe - what a horrible place to work.

With all these layoffs, year after year, quarter after quarter, it never ends; I just don't know why anyone work at HPE. It seems like a really horrible place to work. Why don't you all just leave HPE en masse?

HPE sacrifice in the name of JNPR

Thanks Neri for the 30% JNPR bump and take off in Mist sales. Too bad about your subsequent HPE crash and $billion $ burn. But you can fix it by chopping your people's jobs. Enjoy your shoes and bonuses.

layoffs..criteria? BUs?

My first layoffs at HPE. I know they laid off people massively in COVID. How do they typically layoff? What BUs are at risk this time? My manager knows nothing. Do they look at performance? Salary? What else?

What an albatross. Cray was never sustainably profitable alone, under SGI, or Tera. While at HPE Cray continues to drag down the margins of the Server group. With pending pricing pressures from tariffs, and drastic federal budget cuts... — read more
