WFR - Voluntary Severance

Is there a voluntary option to WFR yourself or is it just compulsory only?
If not then surely it would be kinder to offer an incentive to those who are happy to leave rather than force out others?

What metrics are being used? Can't be performance only?

Is there a timeline for it?

Same: ready to leave the sh-tshow. Where do I volunteer?

I was reading this post out loud and my wife asked me if I wrote it. LOL. So tired of this sh-t show, but want some time off before jumping into a new gig. I’m getting a new boss sometime this month. I’ve had two layers above me leave for one reason or another. One voluntarily, one not.

You can tell your leader you want to be considered for WFR if you want to leave. Sometimes that can be factored in, but it’s not guaranteed and then you’ve played your hand with your leader, but maybe it doesn’t matter. I can tell you that if you are a low performer in an expensive market you’re already a target. And if you’re a high performer in an expensive market you’re a target. You have minimal to no control over what will happen in the process.
