Thread regarding Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) layoffs

Could HPE be acquired?

HPE’s market cap is $23B. I think that’s small enough to make them an acquisition target. It would make sense for Hitachi to buy HPE to solidify their presence in the US. The question is whether that would be something they would want.

I recall vague rumors of Oracle acquiring HPE, but that was years ago.

HPE is a dead company walking. We are pairing it down to acquisition size. You're welcome.

With all the European management I could see HPE being attractive to Atos, they’ve been trying to expand their footprint in NA. Not sure the DOJ/FTC would allow it, maybe if HPE first spun off Cray?

There's always Broadcom. Then you'll wish for the good 'ol days (and so will customers).

Maybe Cisco should acquire HPE and put a end to the juniper nonsense.

I myself have been wondering if there might be buyers out there for HPE. That said, I don't think the current uncertainty makes any US company attractive to overseas companies from ... anywhere. I'm surprised Nippon Steel hasn't rescinded their offer.
