Anyone heard if a EER program will be offered in the US this year?

@140 that's correct but for just a single BU. Rumors say it's locally financed. Rumors...
Early retirement programs work for those who are a few years from retirement. I took it in 2020, was able to pay corporate price for healthcare for a couple years, received a years pay plus an incentive bonus, again, I lived on that until I made full retirement to Medicare. I was happy to put in decades to HP and wish some things could have withstand the pressure from stockholders and board members but they decided to pull in many outsiders for CEO, VP's, Directors who were not the caliper of the 80's, 90's management!
In the inital manager meeting about the WFRs, that question was asked. The answer was the Early Retirement was not being considered to help achieve the target reduction.
I doubt it will ever be offered, because too many valued employees would leave.
Much easier to target via WFR.
I heard from a colleague in Italy that an early retirement program was initiated there 2 weeks ago. Severance is very generous due to restrictive labor laws there.
Early Retirement is nothing more than Early Layoff. Say the right words and fireworks go off in people’s heads. Hello
I have the same question. My sense is that something would have already been announced Q1. I’ve got to believe EERs are more expensive than WFRs so I suspect that’s the reason we didn’t see it this time.
