There is fat that should be cut

However, when it comes to layoffs, that fat always remains unaffected. All the useless managers who barely have any direct reports and who don't even know how to do their own jobs, not to mention supervise others, always remain. Laying them off... — read more

What are you most dissatisfied with here?

I don't know if I am more dissatisfied with pay or the atmosphere that is becoming more and more toxic. What is most worrying is that no issue that employees generally complain about is ever fixed here, and issues are piling up very quickly.

D&I really!!!!

The picture before ringing the bell and GFs leadership shows one chief of staff and the other one Laurie, so much for the D&I initiative.

IPO

The top execs are given shares; workers are not. The buy in price sucks for a company that’s never actually seen profit. Why buy in? You’re a part of global foundries too. You worked through the pandemic while the top dogs sat on their a-s at... — read more

Show your disgust with the lack of sharing by the SLT with the fab workers who make the place run. While they're toasting themselves like Generals, it's the lowly infantry Fab soldiers that bleed every shift to make GF succeed. My last day is... — read more

Succeed or failure

Over the years I have always wanted the company to succeed that I work for. But for the first time ever there is a part of me that wants GFS to tank miserably even though I doubt that will happen. However, for all the false narratives and the... — read more

DSP or IPO investment opinion

I am confused with GF DSP for employee. GF is making loss and there is no projection when they will make profit except statements like chip shortage, diversify fabs etc. We are not getting shares in discount or free why hard earned money needs to be... — read more

Is it only my observation or have other folks noticed SLTs hiring to many women chief of staffs and providing more workplace benefits such as opportunities, transfers, etc

Yes- man culture

Is being a yes man the only way to get ahead in this company? Why is there not much room here for those who don’t agree to become just another yes-man? I’m not that type and I think it cost me a lot at GF. When I look back, I think I would've ... — read more

registering my disappointment

I've been at GF since late 2011. For those of you with similar time at fab8, you know the early years we went without raises and bonuses. In the intermediate years the raises and bonuses were laughable. And if what I read here is true, GF didn't... — read more

Unrealistic expectations

Everyone else has a whistle-blower. Why not us?

Stop draining money

Can the SLT stop draining money by giving the stupid hats nobody gives rat’s a-s to wear that even though SLT would like the employees to wear it for free advertising. SLT should pay to deserve the free advertising.

Are you able to manage work-life balance?
