GF should be sold to Spanx

The main reason being this:

@3dwn+1dMQuWrz I know of a senior director who was moved to Dresden from Malta with everything paid and also as an expat and that person being from Belgium. It is complete BS and the CEO will approve of it all because as per the CEO the employee is an asset

Proactive way to retain employee is retention bonus and matching with industry standard.

It will never happen here.

We had opening in different location within USA and asked my manager can you transfer me to that location for that position open new position in my current location.

I got shocked by my manager response whether you will go without any relocation benefits.

Why should I pay for my relocation instead can look for job in new location will get relocation bonus plus hike ?

I am hearing about this retention bonus since last six month.

I thought at least it will be offered to people leaving company however GF not trying to do retain employee.

Manager will never say will beat your offer to retain you if that happens resource pay may some time exceed manager pay

Retention bonuses in near future will place a nice bandaid on the company’s work force from leaving this year…

If we go by standard like manager should have at least x employee under reporting then we might see lot of consolidation of top management.

Nothing will change just be patient if you plan long term as this time will also pass.

If you are in short term, just change job earlier is better

Let’s assume that after all the commotion created by the employees the management is reacting and giving 50shares of GF and assuming it is trading at 60 it would 3k retention bonus, which would be about 54million (spare change) if given to 18000 employees. It’s a big thanks to them and I should be happy but the problem is the culture.

  1. Why do we have to ask them for our dues?
  2. Why are they giving a big c hug ink to senior director and higher without asking?
  3. Why did they not give a discounted IPO offering?
  4. What are they not giving discounted ESPP plan so I can actually buy 10% of my paycheck and end up getting a better return than the 3k?

The reason they are not doing is they have no money and whatever they have is they are spending on higher ups because they believe that they will get higher returns on the higher up people investment and they he final thing is the culture. It is all about I and not about us.

Remember pre COVID it was us and we will come out together BS then they announced layoffs. They cannot keep their own word. I wonder how much they have spent over the IPO which was successfully because now they are just under 30 billion company gaining 4 billion in less than a month but they will only spend mere 54 million on their employees.

The upper management is the one that needs to change so that there is actually change in the culture and actually treating the employees as a family.

Just like Tesla, Tom and the higher ups should be given their due only if GF becomes 50 billion dollar company by 2025.
