All the sheep will be participating remotely. No solidarity, that's why we can't have nice things.
If share is given for free but you need to keep for six months which is not fair.
You don't have to keep six months but pay market price no discount nor free.
We got better deal since we can sell for less loss if share goes down and they cannot sell for six months.
Again what is the benefit we are getting in share sale as employee when outside people also can get at market rate

Stock options provide for deferred compensation, and this's why Tom & his Top Dogs rushing with IPO, while feeding us with "equity & equality" fairy tails.
OP, most of them have 6 months holding period, albeit not sure starts earlier this month or this Thursday. Any bad news on GF will stock render their free stock worthless except few who got golden parachute. However, we should be happy that we are not paid in gf stock, it would be pay cut for most of us, especially if there is a holding period.
