Is Cisco company lagging? Used to be a leader... I don't see a path to Cloud, etc. What's the deal with Cisco? What went wrong?
Check in was pointless
The checkin was more useless than usual Platitudes in spades, 🥱
Data center
What do people think of the future of the data center business? Growing? Dying?
Do you want your kid to work in Cisco ?
Advantages/disadvantages , please comment. In my opinion, quite good benefits, training possibilities, known company , perhaps can learn somethings. Bad ways; the LR culture, too many layers in organization, somewhat lagging in creating high tech... — read more

John Maynard is Leaving
Anyone know why?
WAS LRd. WAS THE LARGE DEPOSIT ALREADY FOR COBRA?
LR and today was last day but already received a large deposit from Cisco today. Was this the Cobra payment already? Seems early as the agreement says will get pay once 15 days passed to make sure you don't reverse so was surprised. Also, when do you... — read more
The morale hits the bottom after LR
It has been a mess from operations, engineering, IT, to Sales. Some areas report that they have to cover more with fewer people. Some support groups completely ignore requests. Then operations try to delay the execution as much as they can. The... — read more
Why is option 1 bad for H1B employees
I heard taking the 6 months option is bad for H1B. Why not take the 6 months and find another job? Moreover how is it any different than the impending layoff if one can't find a job internally?
Reduced packages?
I just don’t see how they can afford the 6 month package offered in the Oct round, going forward. Wondering if they’ll give reduced packages for teams that weren’t hit as hard last round (maybe less technical roles- sales, marketing, customer... — read more
Cisco basically gave its wireless business away
Many many moons ago, Cisco was a switch and router company. Then Cisco decided to make two strategic purchases and these two companies were: Aironet (access points) and later Airospace (wlan appliances, aka wireless controllers). Fast... — read more
New layoffs?
The Pre-Notification of possible impact was Oct.7th. Or are people getting new notices after the Oct 7th date? Seems to imply that if one is not Pre-Notified then one is safe, or safe until after the Jan 4th layoffs have cleared.
Proxy vote!
I hope everyone is using the Proxy vote to say NO to Charles Robbins and the other worthless ELT. Not that it will make a difference other than sending a message!

Zoominfo says 110M. Is that true?
JC used to say Councils and Governments

Go Broke while being Woke

Ironically Cisco's best internal website and clearest documentation is the redundancy site
Most people who work in Cisco know internally it's a mess. Documents and pages always go missing (404). Our external documentation is also average at best with plenty of mistakes (spelling and technical) and also suffering plenty of broken links... — read more

What is the financial future for new employees?
I am interviewing for a marketing role and wondered what people thought about joining cisco at this time. What is their comp structure for a level 12? Do they pay bonuses? Since so many are leaving will it be better for those who stay? I have to... — read more

Why do some managers and/or BU extend benefits to some employees and not others.

I survived this LR & ER, been here at Cisco for 17+ years, over 50 white male. I don't know what to do next. They didn't offer me ER even though I qualified for it. I even gave hints to my director, but nope, nothing.
Is RMAP worth it in general
How does it compare with what you can get directly from the Insurance companies?
LR package?
Just curious.... what was the normal LR package and did it include years of service +pto?
Who'll tell them?
Who'll let the ELT know that laying-off your way to profitability is not a way to run a company like Cisco? A company where growth is more important than anything? Instead of a brain drain facilitated by those on top, we should be doing the opposite... — read more
