Cisco Cloud and DC Story - F*****

So this happened today : https://newsroom.ibm.com/2021-04-29-IBM-to-Acquire-Turbonomic-Building-Industrys-Most-Comprehensive-AIOps-Capabilities-for-Hybrid-Cloud

Cisco's whole cloud story for on-prem was built on Turbonomic + Inter-Sh--e. A lot of senior architects opposed that to build solely on a 3rd party without acquiring it. A DSE who is a Cisco fellow now - kept himself politically aligned and kept on pursuing it... They went so deep to beat VMware with this CWOM (aka Turbonomics) approach that they thought they are unique.. This is what happens when a bunch of jokers including a SVP (she pushed for it) who do not understand the market and the transitions try to play with a company's money....

The worst part - they will keep their jobs and keeps getting promotion - Cisco continue to lose and Innovation is going down the drain and all Cisco's money is flushed in the toliet in front of Chuck's eyes.

Love the pointless fear mongering here....but this really doesn't change much for Cisco. We don't sell Turbo, we OEM and rebrand into IWO/CWOM. Massive fail on our part for not beating IBM to the punch but we now have a tech backed by 2 giants. Now...if VMware snapped them up...ya then we'd be fkd. I just hope we don't go after yet another pointless IOT company now....

I’m glad Cisco didn’t buy this company.

IBM's artificial intelligence Bot (It's called WATSON, and you know 'his' name if you've ever seen an IBM commercial) told them to buy it.

But they trained the dataset with a bias because they were using Crisco routers to transfer the data from Watson to the GPU's.

But "IBM plans to integrate Turbonomic's Application Resource Management software with Instana and its other recent acquisitions, as well as keeping partnerships with Cisco following the transaction"
So, no big deal (That IBM plans to acquire Turbonomic)

Cisco has never been a performance based company. Layoff the workers, promote the politicians.
