Operational Risk Teams

I had the pleasure to hotel on a floor which mainly consists of operational risk staff. I was surprised to see the amount of individuals sitting in their isolated offices and browsing on their phones, taking power naps or just reading news articles... — read more

My petty revenge

I left a little over two years ago. Immediately got a new role in another industry doing similar work. I'm now at full retirement age. Have funds on hand for a couple of years before needing to tap retirement funds. When I left, dear WF hosed me on... — read more

RTO incentivize

I heard RTO requirement will be tied to our incentives. Is this true? If so, I am on waiver for RTO. Not sure how I will be affected. Maybe waving a percentage of bonus/incentive.

Earth Month

How laughable, it shows how tone deaf our leadership is. Weak men create hard times. Hey id--ts, the biggest impact you can do for the environment is to allow more people to work from home. That idea never seems to hit their heads. Also stop... — read more

RTO

Is anyone else being dragged back to their office? I don’t understand why my team now has to do this when we’ve proven to be successful and profitable without the cubicle and 1970s corded phone for at least 3 years now. I’m distraught… — read more

What's the point of managers in an agile environment

If you're an individual contributor on an agile team, pretty much everything you need is handled within that team. Your manager is just a name on an org chart that you rarely speak with because there's nothing to talk about. So why is the manager... — read more

Commercial Banking Layoffs, Offshoring

Commercial Banking has forced some employees out last month after offshoring underwriting, support, etc. to India. Commercial Banking will be laying off soon.

Question for those who have left?

I see a lot of posts (not sure how many are real or trolls) about people leaving, not missing it, being way more satisfied, and/or higher paid after leaving. Would anyone who has experienced that care to share where you work that is better for you... — read more

Do you think that our GlassDoor rating reflects reality? Wells has an average score of 3.7 on a scale 1 to 5 with 5 being an Excellent Employer. About 41,000 people voted so far. Chase's score is 3.8, BOFA is 4, US Bank is at 3.7 just like us... — read more

Read elsewhere: perception

“1/2 the post on this board substantiate the general perception. All the nyuckity nyuck nyuck comments show the maturity and mentality of what to expect from WF.”- -truth

More cuts this week

There was talk about more cuts at the start of April a few weeks ago, what happened to that?

Perception

I’m not a WF employee but am in the finance sector. When you mention Wells Fargo two things come to mind. ) WF being constantly fined for constant unethical practices. ) WF exec urinating on someone on a plane. If I was a company would I pick... — read more

AI on Wells Fargo's future

Wells Fargo has long been known for its low turnover rates, particularly in mid and mid-high management positions. However, the company's management style of "let's be nice" is undergoing a significant shift. The new management is shaking things up... — read more

Which Midwest city will Wells exit first?

We all know that the east coast execs perceive the Midwest as being hopelessly folksy and unsophisticated. As such, they'll probably start relocating work to the east coast and states with palm trees for the perceived boost in image. Which Midwest... — read more

Just stopping by..

Every now and then I check this board to affirm why I left Wells. Yeah, I see they are still winning friends and influencing people! Lmao. Good luck to you. Glad I'm out.

RCSA team members doomed

The plan for RCSA team members is to let them go when their service is over. They are being overworked, only to be led to sla-ghter in the end. I feel so sorry for those who had no choice to be assigned to RCSA.

Staffing cuts and drive up tellers closing

Most branches notified that fte and sfte were cut. More Saturdays to be eliminated and drive up teller closures. No immediate terminations, but you know if attrition doesn't work, we will all get that call telling us we will displace a teller and... — read more

Perhaps we weren't "agile" enough....

When I received the news of my layoff a few months ago, I was taken aback. My reviews were exceeds and meets. Today I see the job that I have posted on the job site. There are additional requirements: 3+ years working with JIRA, writing EPICs and... — read more

RCSA is taking a toll on my mental health

RCSA is impacting my mental health and honestly I am not in a good place. The trauma and abuse that I receives daily from my facility leads and the head of the understudy program is really impacting my daily life. I have heard of people taking a... — read more

Mary Mack

How Mary Mack gets almost 50% pay increase year over year is beyond me. Consumer is a disaster.

All day every day....triage email traffic that amounts to complete confusion and requests for analysis that won't serve any purpose whatsoever

When you try to get clarity/context, the requesting party often has no idea what they want. They are just as confused as you are. Usually, the topic stems from a question/concern raised from the c-suite or just below about something and they want... — read more

Just stop with the RTO whining

It’s not going away because you complain about it on an anonymous layoff forum. It’s just not going away. It makes zero sense for so many of us, has negative environmental impacts, causes us to have more personal expenses, exposes us to disease... — read more
