But there is a kernel of truth to your rant; job jumping. Yes, it's a little known secret that you get, on average, a 10% pay bump every time you switch jobs. Switch jobs, get a pay bump, learn on the job and acquire news skills, become more valuable to your next employer and rinse and repeat.
I, for one, plan to be retired by the time I'm 55. You won't find me here whining about the unfairness of being laid off at 63 after "I sacrificed my love and life to a company who gave me nothing in return" with no prospects for my sad life.

This is a really bizarre concept to me. You reserve loyalty for people you love, people who are loyal to you ... usually close friends and family.
A employer/employee relationship is a business transaction. You, the employee, trade your time for money, while the employer gets to buy your time and, sometimes, talent.
Extending loyalty in that type of relationship is like being loyal to, say, your car. It's a tool to get you from point A to point B; anything else is a projection of your ego or insecurities. A yearning for unrequited love perhaps?
But hey, who am I to tell you how to live your life. Feel free to give up time with the people who DO love you. The choice is, and always has been, yours.

Sorry to all you haters but we feel sorry for the employees that have loyalty. Most of you posting have no loyalty to anyone except yourself. You are the ones that all in sick constantly every Monday and Friday. You are the ones that wrecked remote working by keeping your brats at home interrupting calls wanting their waffles on every 10 am call. You have destroyed my life goals and retirement plans. I gave 37 years of my life to this company only to be axed and thrown to the gutter. I had my whole retirement plan done but this has now been disrupted. At 63 years old it is extremely difficult to find another position let alone another job anywhere at my pay. You did not care about me. I was only a number. One of thousands of employees axed. Loyalty meant nothing to you. I worked hard and gave it 150 percent every day. I never had a sick day. Always came to work with an I can and care attitude. I gave up family time and PTO to work during historic busy times to ensure every customer was well cared for. I cared about customer service and making sure I serviced our borrowers. I helped train new employees. I mentored employees. I was a team player. I loved our company and was proud to work for the company. Then things started to go south and I still blindly stood up and defended this company. Now I have nothing but spite for how this company treats employees. It is such a shame as we used to be the nations number one company. Now this company is corrupt and disgusting. Mentally abused employees. As for me I am now unemployed Instead of going out with a retirement party i went out with a group phone call and a 2 hour window to get lost.
