Supporting Team Through Change Email

Hey Chris, how about you don’t send an email full of BS corporate speak to the entire company, EVEN THOSE WHO WERE JUST LAID OFF. I mean my gd, the incompetence here. To anyone who didn’t get laid off - get the heck out while you can. This company... — read more

One week per year?

Is this correct? One week per year is one of the lowest severances that can be offered. Two is the average, but some offer three and even a month. This is an insult toward loyal employees who have stuck with TU through thick and thin.

If my last active date is dec 15th and separation date is in Feb. Will my 60 day grace period start in dec or Feb?

Network Access Already Disabled

Hope everyone got a chance to access their packets and get them printed or forwarded because access is gone now. I feel liberated shutting down my laptop and removing all the TU apps from my phone.

FYI for those wondering about Canada

We found out today it was done already. Only affected 8 or so people. Canada performed well. If you didn't hear today you're safe.

Can't forward layoff package email to personal email

Looks like TU id--ts are blocking email forwarding to personal email. I just want to keep a copy of my severance package docs on my personal device. Who knows how long I have access to my TU laptop in the next few hours. I couldn't give a rats a-s... — read more

Impact on RTO

Have recent events impacted people's willingness to go to the office, either way? Either "cr-p I better go in so I don't get laid off" or "they'll probably just lay me off in the future anyway so I'm not scared of them firing me for not going in"? .. — read more

Not gonna lie

At least for me the severance is decent enough that I can chill for all of Dec and hopefully get one of the jobs I’ve been working on for a bit. I mean of course I’d rather not be laid off on the first place but based on what friends of mine had... — read more

Seriously. NeuterStar. We need a history lesson.

Who at TU found this pig, chose the lipstick it would wear to OUR prom, and sold it as the Prom Queen? You promised prosperity. You lied. What was the language of that acquisition? Who is directly responsible? TU: "We want to buy you." N*: ... — read more

I could tell my 3-level up manager was not happy reading his script. The HR lady was also nice and answered all my questions. It was obvious that they were not involved in the decision-making process. Remember, they are just the messengers, not... — read more

Co-workers

Noticed some 15 minute 'tentative' intervals on some team members' schedules today. I can think of only 1 meeting today that would be 15 minutes.

Two of our best are waiting for their meeting
