Why lay you off now and keep paying until October when they could lay you off in October and if you slack off, you get fired. It all makes sense. So stop worrying and just go to work while looking for another job.

I overheard a supervisor talking in Texas and saying that the layoffs will be every pay period until they get to their 10% which is 1500. Not sure how adequate this information is, has anyone else heard anything else ?
