Offshore ES is also not safe

If you think being in an offshore ES location is safe from WFR, think again... soon offshore employees will also be subcontracted to Indian companies. Why would HPE invest on ES when it takes up most of the cost but generates a puny 1%-2% revenue... — read more

Thinning the herd

As it is already known HP is requiring teleworkers to move into HP facilities even though there is no space for them. Those who make the move will soon be required to relocate to Atlanta or Houston at their own expense. Currently in Atlanta those... — read more

HP loves to sell in the US but hates to hire there

When they do, there will then come an assignment to transfer knowledge overseas. This is also about age discrimination--US workers are older. Yes, more knowledgeable, more experienced and more skilled--but older--and they don't live in countries... — read more

You can't spell "hypocrisy" without "HP"

As a long-time employee, I've seen my share of misguided senior-level decisions and this one takes the cake. I've actually seen HP marketing material titled "HP Technology at Work / WFC: Work from cabana" ... here's the intro: "Summer is in full... — read more

Remote workers (teleworkers) are being let go first

The layoffs are in progress now. Remote workers (teleworkers) are being let go first. Those who have been with EDS/HP for a long time are also being cut. HP says teleworkers need to go into an office but the problem is that HP closed many offices a... — read more

HP is a house of cards and with current plans and actions it's just a matter of time before it comes crashing down

The problem is that management does not care. Meg does not care. It's all about the cost savings for the share holders. HP is out of date, out of touch and with the brain drain caused by their actions they will always be behind the eight ball within... — read more

I just found out today that WFR is back in force! Two good friends of mine - who are very good workers - are on the list. So are others.

I am a mid-level employee. I joined EDS in July 2001, and was an EDS employee when HP acquired EDS in summer 2008. So, I am now with HP Enterprise Services. As explained to us in summer 2008, there were cost efficiencies (headcount reductions) when... — read more
