Lockheed, Honeywell or???

Clearly an M&A is in the future - there isn't much aerospace in GE Aerospace other than the obvious tech. Will Evendale stay HQ or will HQ move to the DC area?

Aviation

Legacy pay rates. Just checking to see if all are the same or not. Wilm. H20 operator Hooksett ? Lynn ? Asheville ? Others welcome along with job and rate .

Wilm

Heard Wilmington is on the chopping block due to the cost of the split between nuclear and aerospace would not make sense business wise. Anyone heard this? Or just another BS rumor?

Boeing Set to Strike

https://www.reuters.com/business/aerospace-defense/boeing-union-workers-reject-contract-offer-call-strike-2022-07-24/ Is GE Aerospace willing to do the same next year if the contract is less than desirable?

Boeing Bluff…Or Not?

Boeing is threatening to scrap the plan to build the MAX 10 if it can’t be certified by the end of the year. https://onemileatatime.com/news/boeing-cancel-boeing-737-max-10/

Market Base Wage

Had any MBW site heard about the company looking into shortening the progression?

2nd Quarter Will Be Bad

The Consumer Price Index was released for April. It wasn’t good and neither is the outlook for the near future. Especially for the airline industry. “One of the main drivers of the upside surprise was a record 18.6% increase in airline fares, which... — read more

Market Base Wage

Anyone have any idea what's going on with Market Base Wage? I hear they are looking at shortening the progression, but not sure if they are just blowing smoke. Has anyone at any MBW facility also heard this rumor?

Material issues

Any other shop having material issues as much as Wilmington or are they feeding us BS? It's slower now in some areas than it was in the middle of the scamdemic.

GE Wilmington

Wilmington is about to go union. Vote coming soon. Do what has to be done.

Overtime

People should refuse overtime so they will hire people who are struggling to feed their families that were laid off... But I know people won't refuse OT because we have a lot of greedy f-kks that work here.

Layoffs in Q2

We usually have some cuts in Q2, any ideas if this year will be the same?

Titanium Troubles?

Another blow to the airline and engine manufacturers. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2022-02-24/jet-engine-maker-safran-looking-for-titanium-outside-russia

Social Credit score coming soon.

I see credit rating companies will now be looking at all of your internet activities to create your credit score. This is like the social credit score they use in China. Do you think posting on this site will help my score?

Wilmington pay

Funny how the Wilmington plant is on MBW and pay freeze due to corporate but some how the head HR and plant manager got promoted. Things that make you go hmmm

Hmm

Hired all these people back in Wilmington and most people still sitting around with 0 work. Don't get to comfy. Flights are way down and people aren't going to retire like they are hoping. If you had a decent job and quit to come back, you better... — read more

I take it all with a grain of salt
