CVS vs Aetna is ridiculous and shouldn't exist

But it does... I have friends both "sides" and worked for both companies before they were merged and after. Both had their pros and cons. Leaders have failed us on both sides, and this was 100% a failed merger/acquisition. CVS vs Aetna is what... — read more

Town Hall

Dear Leadership. We know you scheduled a town hall meeting. Please don’t patronize us and come with some pep talk. You can shove it where the sun doesn’t shine. We get to do more work with less people and without many of the SME’s. Save it. — read more

Rejuvi Assessments

What’s up with these new assessments from Rejuvi? Sounds like not all managers and directors are getting them. Suspicious that low scores may be used for next round of layoffs.

Dear Colleagues

To my colleagues who were let go. I hope you get to read this. I was deeply sorry to hear about the layoffs, and my heart goes out to each of you who were affected. Some of the individuals I knew personally were truly invaluable, and the news has... — read more

Why is no one talking about the outsourcing

The recent layoffs were not just layoffs. CVS is outsourcing a lot of these jobs. The news media needs to pick up on that. It isn’t enough that the government is paying for immigrants on our dime. CVS is helping by outsourcing jobs.

The great Aetna/CVS divide

It’s very obvious from recent posts that Aetna isn’t too fond of CVS employees. So let me set the record straight: CVS never wanted Aetna either, or at least not its employees. We have never integrated well. You don’t play well in the sand, and your... — read more

Last day of work v separation

So sorry to those impacted. Wishing you all the best of luck in your new roles! Are we allowed to (hopefully) land a job Prior to the actual separation date? Or can we start looking right after last day of work? When does equipment have to be... — read more

What happened to PIPed Employees?

I read on another post that a lot of people were placed on PIPs a few months ago. Were they laid off, or are they "safe" until CVS kicks them out to stiff them of severance?

CVS Health…where being stellar will get you fired

Be a mediocre employee who never works more than 40 hours because, in the end, the harder you work and try to climb the corporate ladder, the more you are putting a target on your back. Here at CVS, we do not value hard work and loyalty. In fact, it... — read more

Mentally Spent

Everyone who wasn’t laid off is feeling mentally spent. Losing long-time colleagues is devastating and emotionally taxing, and we’re somehow supposed to continue on like nothing has happened. As a person, I just can’t. Management is walking on thin... — read more

Can’t Beat em, join them

$2 billion dollars is a lot of money. Maybe we should go back to selling cigarettes and might as well sell weed while we are at it. Dispensaries are making a ki-ling these days. At least then our employees can keep their jobs.

WTF is CVS thinking?!

Here’s an updated version of your comment, including the mention of the previous outsourcing attempt: It’s disheartening to see that CVS didn’t just lay people off—they outsourced jobs. Historically, outsourcing has often been shown to cost more in... — read more

All Team Meeting: “we have lots of work to do”

Got an 30 minute notice invite from a VP for a all team meeting this afternoon with the VP and someone with HR. Said “all activity is complete” for my team, but “we have lots of work to do”. Go figure.

why bother with Performance reviews?

it is a outdated tool, clearly it doesn't matter. so why should we spend time on it? it costs employees production time as well as managers.

Employment verification status?

I was in the middle of a refinancing. And this happened to me just yesterday, so what will my employment verification status come up when the lender verifies

This really is the worst company.

It is very clear that many of the smart people that provided great value but came from Aetna are getting impacted. These people are supposedly in corporate/shared service roles. Yet a lot of the weak "CVS royalty" gets to stay and continue their... — read more

It Ain’t Over

Don’t be fooled. This is far from over. There will be 4,000 more layoffs in March, 2025 and 5,000 more in October, 2025.

Field teams next?

They have meetings coming up . Is there another restructure coming?

Business update invite

I just received a “Business update” meeting invite from my manager. It was sent to all 10 of my colleagues. Could this be to tell us we are laid off?

Do we even know for how long this will last?

We know the numbers, but we have no clue who on which day and where can actually be affected. Do we know at least if the dept or team was already through the wringer that they can be sure it’s over? High target number just cause so much anxiety and... — read more

A&BC Friday Meeting

Ali K just sent out a meeting invite for this Friday likely to say layoffs are done for now in our department. They did this last year as well.

News from Healthspire?

Any update on personnel changes in active health, hdms, accordant, transform diabetes etc?

Dance to Better Prospects

For those leaving, smile and dance to better prospects. You left behind, a sinking ship. Others hit the iceberg, not you. One of the planners of the layoffs is an Executive Director. He had his California license revoked for unwarranted distribution... — read more

Major media coverage

It's good to know that this is not flying under the radar. Not that it will do or mean anything, but at least people know what's going on. When my last company had layoffs I was affected and I remember being so pi---d off that all I found online... — read more

Are we done?

I know layoffs will most likely continue throughout the week, but I'm asking specifically about the teams that were already hit. If we lost people in this round, can we consider ourselves safe? We have an a--hole for a manager and he didn't tell us... — read more
