Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Severance Details

Can you guys share your severance and separation date details here? I'm seeing tons of differing dates for people:

  1. Termination Date: Dec 6.
  2. Severance Period: Dec 7-Feb 7.

Thank you

How’s HR going to know you accepted another position? They don’t even know people are working 2 remote jobs at the same time.

I spoke with HR directly and they said we cannot accept an offer externally until the separation date else severance will be impacted.

There’s laid off people that had their email addresses already disabled.

@vje+1uV93TIp if your new job offer is with CVS you do not get severance. If it’s external, you can keep the severance. It’s the same for everyone or they would risk lawsuits. If you receive a job offer from CVS and decline it, you will lose your severance.

Severance duration varies. Tenured years and job grade will factor on how months of severance you are entitled to

I’ve seen Directors from certain non-DDAT dept get last date of 1/4 and the Sr Managers in DDAT get 12/7. Not sure if it is level based or department based. RI roles both.

I'm in a state that requires extra notice so my term date is Jan 4 and my severance goes through early April. I've been offered another job but HR has given me different answers about whether I can keep the severance if I get hired right away.
