So long Conoco. It's been a good run. I'm glad to leave behind the politics and strategizing. Such a relief. The fact that I don't have a paycheck is an unfortunate side-effect. On to the next adventure.

Everyone laid off, whether voluntary or involuntary qualifies for unemployment. Your HR rep should tell you about this when you are called in. If not, ask. I recommend that you follow the guidelines completely to maximize your unemployment benefits.
