Some advise me to look for a job in a smaller company after being laid off here, while others say that it's a step backwards after working at Cisco. Any thoughts? Perhaps someone has experience to share, I would appreciate it.

Recent layoffs are considered to be very small only in US. There is no news media that is covering it.

This is the first time layoffs are in sync world-wide. in the US, you can fire people any time. That is more difficult int the civilized world and so the layoffs always started there a few months later. What has changed?
