New culture building activity

Bring your sleeping bag to the office! Spend the night! Like a night at the museum but it’s at the office! What fun!

I have seen plenty of Directors and AVPs as

Well as middle management in their flashy rides and dual income McMansions. One income goes it's all a house of cards. Stay lean and mean young g-ns and save your money.

Those in their 40s - 60s hanging in there

If you are waiting for severance you haven't saved enough and taken advantage of a great bull market during your working career. That's on you. It is all too common in America that people in corporations who have made great salaries with benefits and... — read more

BFS techs has no worries.

Wire techs and Digital Techs are going to be combined since it is pretty much same job now. The T1s are few and far between so that skill is not in high demand anymore. I was a DT, so I know. The DTs can learn GPON tips from WTs. And WTs learn ASE... — read more

Why do we need executives?

They obviously are all "leading" from the same playbook. IBM's plans sure sound familiar :/. Just outsource executive positions to McKenzie/Blackrock/etc, since they are the ones obviously calling the shots... — read more

Laid off last year and bonus

Got let go last May and I saw someone mention the bonus is 114%, is that accurate? Will the bonus just show up in our bank account on March 6th like usual, do we have to do anything extra?

Cleaning up the Books for Private Equity

The buyout will occur within 3 years and if they are smart will rid themselves of the ATT name. Whitacre, Stephenson, and Stankey should be white washed from the record books and never mentioned. They have to rid themselves of their legacy... — read more

Constant uncertainty

Working for T gives a great paycheck but it came with a lot of uncertainty and anxiety, with constant office location changes and fear of job loss if you are not a good performer. You never know where to stay as it affects your commute by miles and... — read more

Layoff Message Massaging

I suspect that this website is bought and paid for by T with social media influencers/admins tasked to twist and sl--t posts intentionally and/or simply delete posts which uncover and reveal truths the company would prefer remain in the closet.

I recently got a Pulse Survey . . .

It was only about 10 questions -- much shorter than the annual survey we used to get. I hammered the company on the questions, especially the "How likely am I to recommend AT&T to others". I know the company does not really care but I enjoyed... — read more

Theory on why the RTO reports are so bad

A theory - the RTO reports have poor data quality because the engineers responsible for building them are deliberately not trying. They’d rather be doing anything else. Who can blame them?

50 and older

If you are 50 and older please do us all a favor and leave or retire. Millennials and Gen Z’s don’t have time to show you guys how to create pivot tables or help you understand simple formulas in excel. Thank you

Layoff Entitlements

As a Leg T union worker, if I get laid off, I get 2 years pay along with benefits. I'm wondering if I'll get my 5 weeks vacation in the 2nd year of the payout. Hah it sure would su(K to be a manager.

Applause platform points

I was let go in December. I had 35 years so technically I'm an active AT&T retiree. Still waiting to get info on choosing my retirement gift. I do have access to the new website, so I can see the choices. Does anyone know how many points it is for... — read more

Don't wait on severance pay. Look for new job NOW !

The only reason there has been no layoff yet is because they are redoing the severance package for non-represented employees. It will be a far cry from the 6 months pay they have been giving. It is something like 2 weeks pay per level.

Here we go again

Time to get up and drive to the office so I can swipe my badge and check the box for a made up RTO report. Bonus, will you even get a seat you wonder. It doesn’t matter that it’s less than your home office. You need to play musical chairs to live... — read more

RTO is a layoff and nothing else

Don’t be fooled. Hours are way down on average, productivity measures have plummeted over 30%. You don’t have assigned space. If the intention of RTO was honest you wouldn’t see these things happen. They want you to leave. Do not move your family for... — read more

It's your job

Some of the complaints I read here are valid, but others are simply unreasonable. Working somewhere (not just at T, but anywhere) is not about respect or feeling good. It’s your job. You do the work, and they pay you. That’s it. It’s not your family... — read more

Dallas move experiences

To all the people who relocated to Dallas for T, can you share your moving experience? How do you like the city and the commute?

Just Do It

I retired voluntarily 6 weeks ago. I'm in my early 50s. Fortunately, my CFP told me, no problem, I'm good to go. I thought I would regret it by now. No way. I do not miss it. I miss my people, not my job at all, and I lived, breathed, and ate my... — read more

Atlas for CNIO

Are your AVP's worthless?

My AVP does not know anything. He just uses fancy words and stupid phrases during meetings to appear smart. Probably got the job through connections. Why does this position even exist?

Southwest to cut 15% of corporate jobs

https://www.cnbc.com/amp/2025/02/17/southwest-airlines-to-cut-15percent-of-corporate-jobs-in-cost-saving-push.html It's coming, y'all. So much more deadweight at T that needs to go.
