COU data not yet available for the week starting 3/9/3025

Does anyone actually know what this means? How is the COU data being folded into the LAN / WIFI pings and Badge swipes?

For example, we have no cafeteria here so I leave to go out for lunch. Are they going to use this to terminate me next month?

They track gps on the COU because I keep wifi off on my COU to prevent it from connecting to wifi. They use the GPS .

Always “available” at the same # for driving complaints…1-800-EAT-SH1T.

turn off wifi, turn off location... make no use and calls from it outside the company facilities.

I'm no longer allowed to work from home, so why would I bring my laptop or COU home? They both stay in the office.

Good luck explaining to your manager why you were not able to hop onto an outage bridge.

But that is against what Apple says in regards to access to location. They say organization cannot access the location of the device without using Managed Lost Mode.

Are you serious? You know who you work for right? We have access to the phone location before Apple does. First it connects to our towers, how do you think we detect and protect against SIM swaps? We own the network, do you think it matters what Apple says?

I cant say about location data, but lately i have noticed that my COU automatically connects to att-WiFi-passpoint , may be they are trying to get the data from there.

If that’s the case it becomes easy for me to leave the COU in office.

Just leave your COU at the office with your laptop overnight. You’ll be back again tomorrow.

COU location data has always been available to supervisors, I've pulled many reports for suspected FMLA and STD fraud. And also call detail records that show the V&H coordinates for outgoing calls, along with tower information. This is not new tracking information, it comes with using a cell phone. And because these are COU lines, and your department pays the expense, they are entitled to see the user info in their COC.

It's for when you lie and HR can show you additional detail so you admit.

“ they want to see who's leaving their laptop at work and then absconding from the office with their COU in tow?”

Yep but they’re spinning it as an additional data set to give increase accuracy.

Lol, so now they're going to track COU's? What's the hair brained scheme around this one...they want to see who's leaving their laptop at work and then absconding from the office with their COU in tow?

The people I sit near were wondering the same thing. Just leave your phone at your desk when you take lunch to be safe.
