Paying good employees to leave
You know what is most disheartening about the constant layoffs at WFC? They never hit the people who are the worst performers. No, they're intentionally targeting the most experienced and talented people to get them off payroll - they are basically... — read more
60-day notice for laid off employees eliminated?
Heard from a manager friend of mine that the updated 2021 employee handbook which is coming out shortly has deleted any reference to a 60-day notice period in the case of a displacement. Can anyone confirm?
Jimbo McHale is retiring in January 2020!
He will be leaving WIM Compliance and spending his time golfing in South Carolina. He will be replaced with a JP New Yorker who will be named shortly. Bye bye Jimbo.
Wells Fargo says federal agency ends anti-money laundering consent order

New position at Wells Fargo

My rough estimate from the OCC site is 406 closures in Q4 2020. Not sure how that has been kept so quiet. I've only seen a couple of local articles mention the closures for their geography... — read more

Code of Ethics?
CS hires Jamie DImon's son-in-law (I'm sure he was the BEST man for the job) and then talks about ethics and doing what's 'right' in a code of ethics training video. Not quite irony. Hmm, what would happen if I 'raise my hand?' Still holding my... — read more

Ok, who has the inside scoop on how well bonuses will be funded this year?

Is there a company on planet Earth that makes employees take more pointless training than Wells?
Death by training is a real risk in 2021. All my mgmt hierarchy cares about and the only time we hear from them is about doing all our training way before it’s actual deadline. They are petrified of ending up on a naughty list 70% of the... — read more

Why isn't there a company-wide hiring freeze?
It's tiring to watch so many people being cut in the name of cost cutting while at the same time the company is happily hiring more people all over the place. The ELT should institute a hiring freeze company-wide, not just certain areas, until they... — read more

9 billion more dollars to cut
As previously announced the ban was planning to cut costs by $10 billion over several years. 2021 will be a major bloodbath.
One things clear about Wells Fargo
It's turning around. 2021 will be a great year for this bank.
Everything here shouldn't be taken seriously.
There is A LOT of misinformation here and people saying things that are simply not true. I have a strong feeling that about 50 percent of the people here have no relation with Wells Fargo Employment and they are just here to troll. This place is... — read more

LOL! I did not know there was a western series from 1957-1962. It's on all day New Year's day. What a shame that the bank's name went down.
Who, here, actually believes Wells Fargo is going to be a clean operation once the asset cap is lifted?
I’ll go first. No way. It’s a dog and pony show. They are cleaning up just enough of what was exposed of items A, B, and C to get the asset cap removed. But new questionable money-making schemes/scams will fill those voids. Additionally, no... — read more
