So there's a solid rumor going around that internal cs and tech will be rebadged to a PSO Vendor. VPs will not confirm or deny this claim, and from a company standpoint this just happened with the stores going to indirect. Seems to me like this can happen as Sprint and AT&T both have done this in the past. This would be wild if it happened.

Ge-z. Why does this site reformat bullet points AFTER the post is written and submitted? That is as bad as Gemini rewording my emails after write them. Lord help us.
@OP Hard to deny what is publicly available information. Verizon keeps if from you because they think you are too lazy or not smart enough to research public records and news sources. Please prove them wrong.
Too many links to add them all here but search "Is Verizon making a move to rebadge a large portion of the company?" and it will be handed to you by the Google gods.
Here is the high level breakdown (corporate buzz words for scale).
NOTE:
Point 1 is old news.
Point 2 appears to be what has been floating around here lately, both happened and happening apparently.
Yes, Verizon is making aggressive structural moves that shift a large portion of its workforce off its direct payroll. This strategy involves both the transition of retail operations to franchise models and the "rebadging" (outsourcing) of internal IT and technical roles to external vendors.
These actions are part of a sweeping cost-cutting initiative led by Verizon's CEO to reduce operating expenses by $5 billion.
The company's approach to reshaping its workforce follows two main paths:
- Retail Rebadging to Franchises
Verizon is dramatically scaling back its corporate retail footprint, moving employees to third-party dealers.
The Transition: In mid-2026, Verizon finalized the sale of 274 corporate-owned retail stores to independent franchise operators.
The Workforce Impact: This move effectively removed roughly 2,500 retail employees from Verizon's direct payroll. These workers were shifted to the employment of independent dealers (such as Victra or TCC) rather than being laid off directly.
- IT and Global Capability Center (GCC) Rebadging
Behind the scenes, Verizon is continuing a long-standing strategy of rebadging its internal technology and back-office staff to IT services vendors.
Corporate & Offshore Rebadging: Internal employee reports from platforms like Glassdoor and Fishbowl show that Verizon has been executing widespread rebadging phases throughout 2026. This heavily impacts its Global Capability Centers (GCCs), particularly teams located in Verizon India.
Vendor Transfers: Affected tech workers are transitioned from being direct Verizon employees to working for third-party IT giants (similar to Verizon’s massive 2018 move that rebadged thousands of IT roles to Infosys).
Put this in it's own independent thread if you think it will be missed here. It ain't mine to control. It's the public's to do with as they please.
Read it, ignore it, prepare for it, spread it, whizz on it, upvote it, downvote it, whatever.
Funny how the Corp sycophants that have to be told what to think, how to act and how to feel will tell you to ignore it and how you are stupid for reading it only to prove true all of the descriptions of bullying, manipulation and harassment they deny.
You do you and let others do themselves, or something like that.

@ak Different FCC now in case you haven’t noticed. You have to kiss the ring of the orange man with the tiny hands. Or they will cancel you
Explain to us how this would be fake? Its either they layoff internal or they move on to a vendor. Happened in IT and stores, I dont think the FCC had to approve those moves.
Super fake and bad rumor. It was something considered 4 years ago and got stopped by FCC at the time.
@OP Sprint? Does that company still exist?
It’s about time. Their middle management has been on a free ride since Covid began Good news. Thank you Dan
